Is your Trezor on its way? We’ll walk you through the Trezor setup process in seven simple steps:
Step 1: Check to see whether the box has been tampered with.
When you get your new Trezor, the first thing you should do is double-check that the silver holographic security seals are intact. They should be removed with a fair amount of effort. Return your Trezor right once if the security seals are missing or have been tampered with! If everything seems to be in order, open the package.
Verify that the holographic security strips are present and undamaged.
Step 2: Double-check that everything is in order.
When you open the package, you should discover the following items:
- USB cord
- sheet of instructions
- Two seed cards for recovery
- Trezor decals (we are not exactly sure why you would want to advertise that you own a Trezor)
Is everything present? Let’s get our Trezor up and running.
Connect your Trezor to your computer in step three.
Plug one end of the USB cord into your Trezor and the other into your computer. You should be sent to Trezor.io/start by your Trezor.
